Aminosyn®, Sulfite-Free, (a crystalline amino acid solution) is a sterile, nonpyrogenic solution for intravenous infusion. Aminosyn is oxygen sensitive. Five different formulations are available:

10% Travasol® (Amino Acid) Injection is a sterile, nonpyrogenic hypertonic solution of essential and nonessential amino acids in a Pharmacy Bulk Package. A Pharmacy Bulk Package is a container of a sterile preparation for parenteral use that contains many single doses. The contents are intended for use in a pharmacy admixture program and are restricted to the preparation of admixtures for intravenous infusion.

Upper Chamber: Contains 500 mL of Aminosyn II 10% (an amino acid injection) — a sterile, nonpyrogenic solution for intravenous infusion. The formulation is described in the table below.

Aminosyn® II 8.5% WITH ELECTROLYTES, Sulfite-Free, (an amino acid injection with electrolytes) is a sterile, nonpyrogenic solution for intravenous infusion. Aminosyn II 8.5% (amino acid injection with electrolytes) WITH ELECTROLYTES is oxygen sensitive. The following formulation is available:

TrophAmine (6% and 10% Amino Acid Injections) are sterile, nonpyrogenic, hypertonic solutions containing crystalline amino acids.

Aminosyn-HF 8% (amino acid injection 8%) is a sterile, nonpyrogenic, hypertonic solution for intravenous infusion. The formulation is described below:

Aminosyn® WITH ELECTROLYTES, Sulfite-Free, (a crystalline amino acid solution with electrolytes) is a sterile, nonpyrogenic solution for intravenous infusion. Aminosyn WITH ELECTROLYTES is oxygen sensitive. Three different formulations are available.

Aminosyn®-RF 5.2%, Sulfite-Free, (an amino acid injection — renal formula) is a sterile, nonpyrogenic solution for intravenous infusion. Aminosyn-RF 5.2% is oxygen sensitive. The solution contains the following crystalline amino acids:

ProcalAmine (3% Amino Acid and 3% Glycerin Injection with Electrolytes) is a sterile, nonpyrogenic, moderately hypertonic intravenous injection containing crystalline amino acids, a nonprotein energy substrate and maintenance electrolytes. A 1000 mL unit provides a total of 29 g of protein equivalent (4.6 g N) and 130 nonprotein calories.
